Xie Wei, a partner of Li & Partners (Shenzhen), has more than 15 years post-qualified legal experience with particular emphasis on areas of international and cross border matters. Mr. Xie is the committee member of Banking Professional Committee of Shenzhen Lawyers Association.
Mr. Xie graduated from City University of Hong Kong and Brunel University, and obtained Bachelor of Laws Degree and Master Degree in International Trade Law respectively. Mr. Xie is now qualified both as an Attorney-at-law of PRC (mainland) and a Solicitor of Hong Kong. His practicing areas including listing financing, cross-border M&A and investment, banking, cross-border marriage, inheritance and notarization, etc.
In listing financing area, he has participated in the listing of Xinjang Tianye Water Saving Irrigation System Company Limited, Directel Holdings Limited, Guotai Junan International Holdings Limited, Prosper Construction Holdings Limited, REM Group (Holdings) Limited and so on. In cross-border M&A area, Mr. Xie has provided legal services for listed and non-listed companies in their M&A, investment and financing, including: advising on the indirect acquisition by a Hong Kong listed company for a Guangzhou real estate project from another Hong Kong listed company (with a consideration of around RMB 2 billions); advising an overseas enterprise on its direct acquisition of a domestic pharmaceutical company. In the field of banking, Mr. Xie handled hundreds of projects in relation to cross-border commercial loans and bond issuance.
Mr. Xie has been repeatedly invited to give lectures for Hong Kong law firms, Hong Kong banking institutions, The Chinese Bank’s Association Limited and Hong Kong Productivity Council on Investment and Financing. He was also one of the contributors of an influential professional writing on cross boarder legal area: A+H Company Legal Practice Research and Analysis (2013).
