Yin Shidi (Sigrid), a partner at Finance & Commerce Law Firm of China. She completed her undergraduate studies at China University of Political Science and Law. Subsequently, she earned her Master's degree in International Business Law from the Université de Montréal. Moreover, she was involved in Georgetown University's International Investment and Cross-Border Dispute Resolution program organized by the International Law Institute. She also participated in the inaugural senior training program for foreign-related lawyers organized by the Ministry of Justice .
With her international educational background and extensive professional network, Ms. Yin is fluent in multiple languages, including Chinese, English, Cantonese and two other dialects. Her areas of expertise encompass cross-border investment and mergers & acquisitions, dispute resolution involving foreign affairs, and corporate compliance. Additionally, her keen sense of emerging technological trends makes her adept at handling disputes in new sectors like gaming, live-streaming, e-commerce, and digital currencies.
In the past, Ms. Yin worked at a USD-denominated private equity fund management company in Hong Kong. She maintains robust business relationships with numerous overseas companies, banks, and funds. Her wealth of experience in cross-border investment, corporate compliance, dispute resolution, and international collaboration allows her to offer advisory and specialized legal services to a broad array of clients, including domestic and Hong Kong-based businesses, export-oriented enterprises, tech firms, financial institutions, and publicly-traded companies.
Ms. Yin has been recognized as an emerging talent by the Guangdong Provincial Lawyers Association in the field of foreign-related legal matters and as a leading talent by the Shenzhen Lawyers Association. Currently, she serves as an arbitrator for several arbitration institutions, including the Pu'er Arbitration Commission/the Lancang-Mekong International Arbitration Court. She is also a specially invited mediator at the Haikou International Commercial Mediation Center. She is on expert list of the "Network of Procuratorial Expert Consultation on Civil and Administrative Cases" of the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
