Mr. Yu Pui Hang (Henry), a lawyer, obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from King's College London, University of London, in 2001. He became a practicing lawyer in Hong Kong and was admitted to practice in England and Wales in 2005. In 2003, he also became a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators. With over 18 years of experience in the legal field, Mr. Yu has worked at major international law firms, including Kennedys, Norton Rose, and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Subsequently, Mr. Yu worked at ICBC International Holdings Limited, where he held the position of Executive Director and Deputy General Counsel in the Legal Department before leaving. In January 2016, Mr. Yu began his own practice as the founding partner of the law firm, L & Y Law office and of Henry Yu & Associates in 2018, which is a leading law firm in fintech. His areas of practice include blockchain, commercial law, corporate and commercial transactions, as well as multinational and cross-border investments. Mr. Yu is a member of the Hong Kong Law Society's Technology Committee and has closely followed the latest developments in financial technology. He is also an Honorary Legal Advisor to the Hong Kong Society for Innovation and Invention, the Asian Financial Technology Experts Association, the Hong Kong Bitcoin Association, the Greater Bay Area FinTech Association, and the Hong Kong International Family Office Committee. Additionally, Mr. Yu serves as the Overseas Executive Dean of the PRC Institute of Blockchain Law and Henry Yu & Associates, acts as the General Secretary of The Hong Kong Licensed Virtual Asset Association (HKLVAA).
