CHEN Zhifeng (a.k.a. Jay) , Lawyer(China) and CPA(Australia), a partner and associate director of the International Legal Division of GuangDong Zhuojian Law Firm, is a lecturer and tutor of various law schools, including South China Normal University, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and China University of Political Science and Law.
Jay has over ten years’ practical legal experience, focusing on providing legal services to medium-to-large-scale international companies(especially, enterprises in technology and manufacturing industries) in China and abroad, with extensive experience on dispute resolution and non-dispute resolution matters. His key practice areas include without limitation corporate counsel, company compliance, enterprise financing and investment, legal negotiation, litigation and arbitration.
Jay mainly serves international business clients, e.g., Chinese clients who desire to develop oversea market and international clients who invest or trade in China. Jay is proficient in providing customized practical solutions to accommodate clients’ special legal demands. Jay has been consistently working on and practising international commercial law and has a word-wide network to facilitate the resolution of complicated matters.
Jay worked in accounting field in Melbourne for a few years after his postgraduate studies in Melbourne and now is still a Australian certified practicing accountant, a full member of CPA Australia. Jay has a comprehensive understanding of the Western law system as well as its business.
Jay holds a bachelor degree in law from China University of Political Science and Law (one of the top law schools in China), and master degrees in Commercial Law and Commerce as well as a Graduate Certificate of Accounting from Deakin University (Top 1% of universities worldwide) in Australia. Besides, Jay has been selected to attend various oversea practical training programs, including the Hong Kong program and the USA program specifically designed for the leading international lawyers of Guangdong province and Shenzhen city.
Jay is able to skillfully use Mandarin and English as working language for business negotiation and legal writing. Jay also can speak Cantonese and Teochew dialect on daily basis.
