WONG Yiu Kwong (Ray), Consultant of Ko & Chow, Solicitors, has been practising as a Solicitor of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for over 20 years. In 2021, he was one of the first batch lawyers who passed the Guangdong-Hongkong-Macao Greater Bay Area (“GBA”) Lawyer Examination. Upon completion of further training and interview, in 2022 he joined China Commercial Law Firm as GBA lawyer. He is also appointed as Commercial Mediator of Shenzhen Futian Hetao International Commercial Mediation Center, Shenzhen Qianhai International Commercial Mediation Center, Dongguan Dongyi Commercial Mediation Center.
The main practice area of Mr. Wong covers cross border disputes resolution, cross border commercial mediation, matrimonial and inheritance cases in Hong Kong. He is fluent in English and Chinese and provides quality legal services to clients.
In respect of litigation, Mr. Wong has extensive experience in civil and commercial cases including tort law, family law, and employees’ compensation. In 2008, he jointly handled a civil case in respect of adverse possession in the Court of Final Appeal with a team of barristers and won the trial for the client.
Apart from handling commercial mediation cases, Mr. Wong served the 133rd China Import and Export Fair as a mediator with a team of international commercial mediators for resolving trade disputes and reaching settlements for fair participants coming from China and overseas countries including Australia, Egypt and Poland. Recently, he has participated in the 9th Shenzhen Futian Mediator Competition by joining a commercial mediation team and won the 2nd prize in the final around.
Actively participated in social services, Mr. Wong has been awarded twice for rendering pro bono legal service to the public. He is also a Shenzhen Volunteer. Mr. Wong is a Christian. Besides taking legal courses in respect of continuing professional development, he has completed a full time programme of Master of Arts in Christian Studies in Divinity School of Chung Chi College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
